The HGT-Ryder-Cup Play-Offs

The HGT-Ryder-Cup Play-Off Points Race is to win first-right-of-refusal to compete in the three-event post-season match-play competition. The highest USA and Rest-of-World point-winner will be team captain. At each regular-season tournament, registered players compete for points that accumulate toward places in the Play-Offs. You win a Playoff-Point for each registered player whose net-score you beat, plus one. In late August and early September, three match-play events will be held at Brooklake, Canoe Brook and Somerset Hills and will pit two teams (four players per team maximum) in a post-season Ryder-Cup-format — USA vs. EEC – with the HGT-Ryder-Cup Trophy as the grand team prize. In 2007, the EEC Team narrowly edged the USA. This year’s formats include singles in match-1, modified foursomes in match 2, and four ball better ball in match-3.
